The Coventry Chaos formed in February 2002 as a result of a group of Coventry Blaze fans getting together and decided they would like to give the game a try themselves. A lot of them had never even skated before! So an internet forum was created to arrange it all and the ice time was booked. From the moment they took the ice in full kit that night, the majority of them became hooked and a core group of the founder members still belong to the team today.

Over the years, the Chaos' main purpose has never changed... to have fun! One of the many beliefs of the team is to give everybody equal ice time regardless of level of skill or skating ability. Everybody pays the same money so everybody should have the same amount of playing time. We play solely for fun and recreation and we actively recruit ALL new beginners. After all, this is what the majority of the team were when the Chaos was formed.

At present we have over 40 registered hockey players and this number continues to grow. We have a few simple requirements which must be met in order for you to join us:

You do not need to be able to skate. Whilst most of us can skate at a reasonable level, we welcome all levels ability including complete beginners.

Insurance is a requirement for all players taking the sessions. This costs £35 pr year to the EIHA and is arranged through the club.

You must have full hockey kit, including skates, helmet, gloves, stick, shorts, leg pads, shoulder pads amd elbow pads. A "cup" is also highly recommended!

Any cheques should be made payable to C.C.R.I.H.C

We train on Sunday evenings all year round. During the Coventry Blaze season our slot is generally 22:00hrs - 00:15hrs. Throughout the summer we get earlier slots but it is always best to contact us ahead of the session to confirm times.
